Barb Zapzalka, owner of Pumphouse Creamery, was born and raised near Little Falls, MN. Her passion for ice cream started as a child when her family made homemade ice cream every winter with ice from the nearby river.
After a career as a systems analyst/programmer, she opened Pumphouse Creamery in May of 2003. Pumphouse Creamery features all-natural ice cream using organic milk and cream and sources locally produced ingredients. The key to her popular ice cream is freshness and quality in the ingredients.
