Ice Cream Made From Scratch
The handmade ice cream is conceptualized, created, and churned by Barb Zapzalka, the owner of Pumphouse Creamery, who opened the shop in 2003.

Barb is dedicated to producing quality all-natural and organic ice cream, focusing on sourcing ingredients from local small scale farmers who are committed to the advancement of food integrity. 

The base of the ice cream is local organic cream top dairy(non-homogenized) from Crystal Ball Farm, in Osceola, WI.  Strawberries are harvested during their peak time and frozen for year-round use(or until they run out!) as well as rhubarb, black and red raspberries, blueberries, honey, etc.    



Ice Cream ingredients are made from scratch, not from a can! For example, the caramel sauce in our Sea Salt, Caramel and Praline Pecans ice cream and the butterscotch sauce in Butter Pecan ice cream.
